Q: What services do you offer?

A: We provide experienced and vetted babysitters for part-time, full-time, and occasional childcare needs. We also offer last-minute bookings and overnight care.

Q: How do I book a babysitter?

A: You can book a babysitter through our website by filling out the booking form with your dates, times, and childcare details. Our team will assign one of our qualified sitters and send you a confirmation email once the booking is secured. You can book a sitter here.

Q: How much does babysitting cost?

A: Our rates start at $25/hr for 1 child, plus $4/hr per additional child. Overnight hours (10 PM–7 AM) are + $7/hr, and public holidays have a 1.5-2× rate.

Q: Why is there a 20% confirmation fee?

A: The confirmation fee helps cover the costs of running RevySitters — including insurance, website tools, admin time, and sitter screening. Babysitters keep 100% of their hourly rate, and the fee supports a safe, reliable service for families.

Q: Are your babysitters background-checked?

A: Yes, all our babysitters go through thorough background checks, reference verifications, and interviews before joining our platform.

Q: How are babysitters vetted?

A: Every babysitter must pass our strict vetting process, which includes:

✔ Enhanced background checks (criminal record)

✔ CPR & First Aid certification verification

✔ Reference checks

✔ Personal interviews to assess professionalism & childcare skills

Q: Can I meet the babysitter before booking?

A: Once your sitter is assigned, they’ll text you to introduce themselves and confirm the address. If you’d like a quick phone call or FaceTime to say hello before the shift, just ask!

Q: What happens in case of an emergency?

A: Our babysitters are trained in emergency protocols, including CPR and First Aid. They will contact parents immediately and follow emergency procedures if necessary.

Q: What if I have a complaint about a babysitter?

A: We take all feedback seriously. If you have concerns, please contact us immediately via info@revysitters.com. We will address the issue promptly and take appropriate action.

 

Booking and Payments

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We understand plans change! Cancellations are allowed anytime, but please note the 20% confirmation fee is non-refundable as it covers our admin costs.

If your sitter cancels, we will do our best to find a replacement. If we’re unable to find one in time, you’ll receive a full refund or your confirmation fee.

Q: How do I pay for babysitting services?

A: At the time of booking, you’ll pay a 20% confirmation fee to secure your sitter. The remaining balance is paid directly to the sitter at the end of the shift, by cash or e-transfer. We’ll send you a breakdown of the exact amount after your sitter is confirmed.

Q: Can I book a babysitter for overnight care?

A: Yes, we offer overnight babysitting services. Please ensure you book in advance for overnight stays. There will be additional charges for bookings between 10pm-7am, see rates here.

Q: What if I need a babysitter last minute?

A: We offer on-demand babysitting for last-minute needs. Simply submit your request, and we’ll connect you with an available sitter as quickly as possible.

Special Requests and Additional Services

Q: Do you offer babysitting for children with special needs?

A: Yes! Some of our babysitters have experience caring for children with special needs. When booking, you’ll be asked to provide details about your child’s specific requirements. Our team will review this information and do our best to match you with a babysitter who can accommodate your child’s needs. 

We’ll do everything we can to match your family with a sitter who fits your child’s needs. In rare cases where we’re unable to accommodate the request, we’ll notify you as soon as possible and issue a full refund of your confirmation fee.

Q: Can the babysitter help with homework or light housework?

A: Some babysitters offer additional services like homework help, meal prep, or light housework. You can discuss specific requests when booking.

Q: Do you provide babysitters for events or group childcare?

A: Yes, we can arrange for multiple babysitters for events, weddings, or group childcare needs. Contact us for custom arrangements.

Q: Can I request the same babysitter every time?

A: Yes! If you find a babysitter you love, you can request to book them again (subject to availability).

Q: Can I provide special instructions for my child?

A: Yes! During booking, you can share details like:

  • Bedtime routines

  • Allergies & dietary restrictions

  • Favorite activities

  • Household rules
